Biography of Anna Marie Nicoletti
Anna Maria Nicoletti
Intuitive Artist
Spiritual Poet
Guided Meditations

Artistic expression has weaved its way through my life. It continues to surface those endless depths of my soul with magical discoveries.

Prior to graduating high school in 1968, I had to make a career choice - pursue my interest in art or follow a business path. For practical reasons, I chose the administrative field as I realized how highly competitive and demanding an art career could be. I wanted to keep this growing passion for art, in whatever form it took, to be without the constrictive, pressuring demand to produce. There was definitely a need within to keep this desire free-flowing in guiding my way. As time continued, I knew this was to emerge at the right time and place within my life's path.

Art classes within the curriculum from grammar to high school gave me the opportunity to open a potential which gave me much joy. In the mid-1960's I attended some group classes in oils and acrylics while living on Long Island NY. I took some basic pen and ink, and pencil drawing instruction in Beverly MA for a brief time in the 1970's. Several pieces of my artwork were displayed locally while taking these classes.

Many years passed where I was unable to further this interest. I found myself, once again, missing the pursuit of what my heart kept bringing to the surface. That "voice within" kept getting stronger. When I retired from full-time work in June 2008, I began exploring and expanding many interests that my work commitments and extensive responsibilities prevented me from following to any degree of depth.

In April of 2012 I took a five-day introductory watercolor class with Ann Lindsay at Kripalu in Stockbridge MA. I became absolutely fascinated with the magic that watercolor painting brought forth. I was so drawn to try this new medium and resonated with Ann's style and method of instruction. Months following this class I began searching for a teacher. While viewing one of the TCA monthly exhibits, I found Val Borgal's watercolor paintings and knew I had to get in touch with her. I've been taking classes with Val since the fall of 2012. Paintings by Melissa Harris and her 2013 art weekend in upstate NY continues to inspire and motivate my creative spirit. The joyous expression of Jeanne Carbonetti's watercolors called me to attend her summer 2014 workshop in Chester VT. The experience resonated through my soul with her vibrant technique and approach. Through each teacher, I am loving the depths of exploration that watercolors are taking me. The colors, shapes and energies that emerge make my heart sing.

I am now showing my artwork at many of the monthly shows at the Tewksbury Library and Grace Chapel in Lexington MA.

My time is spent with joy and passion in being with family and close friends, dancing, writing spiritual poetry, intuitive painting, and creating guided meditations. Walking outside brings the wisdom of nature and the heavens to that sacred place within me for soul expansion. Art channels that which words cannot and speaks of the Infinite in endless forms.

Life is full of new beginnings...each and every day...for which I am ever grateful.
